leaders have a wealthy sense of vision and community pride, which translates into
robust student achievement.
Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees is charged with establishing policy for the financing, governance,
operation and administration of Kishwaukee College. The Board of Trustees is comprised
of seven elected officials, each elected for a six-year term, and one non-voting student
trustee who serves a one-year term. Trustees legislate by majority rule through the
formal passage of policies, resolutions and motions. Community College District 523
is one of 39 community college districts in the Illinois Community College System.
The President of Kishwaukee College is Dr. Laurie Borowicz. Dr. Borowicz joined Kishwaukee College as the fifth President in 2016. Throughout
her time here, Dr. Borowicz has helped develop innovative educational opportunities
and continued the College’s rich legacy of excellence in education with a focus on
The Senior Leadership Team, serving at the discretion of the President, helps the
President manage the College. The Senior Leadership Team reports directly to the President
and conducts the day-to-day administration of the College.
Kishwaukee College Library has been selected as one of 300 libraries to participate in Libraries Transforming Communities: Focus on Small and Rural Libraries — an American Library Association (ALA) initiative that helps library workers better serve their communities.
The Kishwaukee College Financial Aid Office will host a free virtual workshop to demonstrate to local students how to file the 2022-2023 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on Thursday, Oct. 14, from 6 pm–7 pm via Zoom.
